CC0004 – Early Earthworks

This package supports the early execution of earthworks. The scope covers expansion of the SWEF (Shaft Waste Effluent Facility) pond, construction of early laydown areas and modification of the rural municipality road.

CC1601 – Vent Plenums Phases 2 and 3 (substations civil works)

Contractor: Graham Industrial Services LP

The scope of this contract centres around the following work fronts:

  • Foundations for the vent plenums phases 2 and 3 at the DV (Dalla Valle) shaft and service shaft
  • Foundations for the 230-kilovolt and 34.5-kV substations
  • Foundations for the cable bus between the substations
  • Foundations for the harmonic filters and modular data centre

CG2703 – Coarse TMA Phase 1AB

Contractor: Allan Ventures Development Corp.

Stripping of Horizon A, construction of dykes and associated instrumentation, decommissioning of five (5) monitoring wells, installation of two (2) monitoring wells, installation of piping for three (3) interceptor ditch pumps, modification of existing sewage effluent, reject water, and dewatering line.

  • Earthworks for existing disposal well B, earthworks for pipeline from disposal well B to disposal well A, and earthworks for disposal well A
  • Earthworks for rail section from loadout building to disposal well A
  • Installation of environmental monitoring station

CC0003 – Earthworks

Contractor: Ledcor CMI Ltd.

Earthworks associated with stripping, mass excavation and drainage ditching, road construction, foundation ‘bath-tubbing’, and laydown development. The buried services work includes trenching and the installation of the site’s main distribution networks for natural gas, raw water, potable water, fire water, storm water, sewage (gravity and pressurized), and dewatering.

CG2802 – 230kV & 34.5kV Substations and Power & Communication Distribution

Contractor: PCL Industrial Management

Construction of substations, E-house, two Modular Data Centers, as well as site power and communications distribution.

CG2902 – Potable Water Treatment Plant and Diesel Fuel System

This package involves the testing of earthworks, fill material, concrete and grout to support quality assurance assessments and inspections.

SC6204 – Site Survey

Contractor: GeoVerra Inc.

This package involves the EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction management) work beginning the second quarter of 2021 covering project site surveying. Part of the scope includes the pre-sanction funding. The duration spans the second quarter of 2021 (Q2 2021) to the third quarter of 2026 (Q3 2026) and includes:

  • Construction and industrial surveying
  • Support for validation of invoiced earthwork quantities
  • Updating the three key master plans for site topography, buried services, and facilities
  • Survey for engineering/design confirmation requirements
  • Survey assurance activities or data collection in addition to survey data collected by construction contractors, as required

SC6105 – Concrete Batch Plant

Contractor: LaFarge Canada, Inc.

Design/proposal, supply, construction/installation, commissioning, and start-up of a concrete batch plant which is to be demobilized from site upon completion of the work.

SD6501 – Busing

Contractor: Wicehtowak Employee Transportation Ltd.

Provision of fully maintained and operated buses and the provision transportation services to transport JS1 employees to and from the Jansen Site and locations in Saskatoon and Regina.
