BHP’s Jansen Stage 1 creates business opportunities for local and Indigenous companies, as well as jobs for the province
BHP’s Jansen Stage 1 Project marks the single largest economic investment in Saskatchewan and with that comes significant employment opportunities.
Jansen’s construction workforce will peak at about 3,500 workers during the construction phase. As well, direct employment will also be available through BHP but many of these opportunities won’t appear until closer to operations. A Skills Inventory and Vendor registration database developed by the Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence
The EXPORT database was created specifically for the registration of Indigenous-owned businesses. The databases was also created to connect Indigenous individuals with employment opportunities. It is free for Indigenous people to register.
