BHP’s Jansen project creates business opportunities for local and Indigenous companies, as well as jobs for the province
The Jansen project marks the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and with that comes significant employment opportunities.
There will be approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction of the Jansen project. Also, direct employment will be available through BHP, but many of these opportunities won’t appear until closer to operations. A Skills Inventory and Vendor registration database developed by the Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence
The EXPORT database was created specifically for the registration of Indigenous-owned businesses. The databases was also created to connect Indigenous individuals with employment opportunities. It is free for Indigenous people to register.
